Manufacturing at scale, since 1927
Handmade at scale.
Large-scale handmade rug manufacturing across an extensive weaver network spanning the Bhadohi to Mirzapur carpet belt, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Bhadohi to Mirzapur carpet belt
Raheem and Son draws on one of the densest concentrations of handmade carpet expertise in the world. Our weaver network extends across the Bhadohi to Mirzapur belt, a region that has produced handmade rugs for centuries and accounts for a significant share of India's carpet export volumes. We coordinate production across this network from our Bhadohi base, with in-house dyeing, spinning, washing and finishing that keeps quality under direct supervision at every stage.
Capacity and scale
Manufacturing at genuine volume.
No fixed minimum order quantity. We handle single bespoke commissions and full container loads on the same production infrastructure, with consistent quality across every scale.

What we produce at volume
Every major handmade construction.
From hand-knotted silk to flatweave cotton, jute to leather, we produce across the full spectrum of handmade rug constructions at commercial volumes. Custom sizes, shapes, pile heights, materials and colours are available across all constructions.
Hand-knotted
The most durable handmade construction. Produced across our weaver network from fine quality wool, mulberry silk, bamboo silk and blends. Available from fine 80-knot to coarse rustic constructions.
Hand-tufted
Tufted in-house on our factory floor. Fast sampling, flexible pile height and a wide range of materials, wool, bamboo silk, cotton and synthetics. Ideal for bulk production at consistent quality.
Hand-woven
Handloom-woven flatweave and pile constructions. Dhurrie, kilim and woven pile designs across cotton, wool and jute. Clean, structured aesthetics suited to contract and hospitality environments.
Flatweave
Cotton and wool flatweave constructions including dhurrie and kilim. No pile, fast production cycles, machine-washable options available, and a broad custom colour range.
Handloom
Power-loom knotted construction combining the visual character of hand-knotting with volume production speeds. Suited to buyers requiring large quantities at accessible price points.
Jute and natural fibre
Jute, seagrass and natural-fibre constructions produced in the Bhadohi belt. Available in woven, braided and combination constructions. Sustainably sourced.
Leather rugs
Hand-woven leather and leather-combination rugs. Flat-woven and pile options in natural and dyed leather. Suited to contemporary residential and hospitality interiors.
Poufs and pillows
Hand-crafted poufs and decorative pillows to complement rug programmes. Available in matching materials and colourways for co-ordinated product ranges.
Process at scale
From dye house to dispatch.

Dyeing
Yarn is dyed in-house across an extensive range of shades. Our dye house supports colour-matched production at scale, from single strike-offs to full production runs.

Spinning and drying
After dyeing, hanks are dried and inspected for colour depth and consistency before being wound for the loom.

Weaving and knotting
Each piece is woven by hand. Knot density, colour placement and dimensional accuracy are checked against specification throughout production.

Loom warping
Precision warping sets the structural foundation for every rug. Warp threads are set and tensioned to specification before weaving begins.

Washing
Every rug passes through our washing facility after weaving. Washing opens the pile, sets the colour and gives the surface its finished handle.

Clipping and finishing
Skilled craftspeople clip, carve and finish each rug by hand. Pile height, edge finish and surface texture are verified against the approved sample.

Quality control
Finished dimensions are measured and photographed. Colour is verified under standardised lighting against the approved reference before packing.

Dispatch
Packed pieces are logged and checked against buyer specifications before leaving the dispatch hall. We provide full export documentation as standard.
Quality at scale
In-line quality control, every stage.
Volume production is only valuable when quality holds across every piece. Our quality process begins at raw material intake and continues through every stage of weaving, washing and finishing, not just at the end of the line.
- Raw material grading on arrival
- In-loom colour and density checks at regular intervals
- Post-wash pile height and colour depth assessment
- Dimension measurement before packing
- Colour verification under standardised lighting
- Order-specific quality requirements confirmed before production

Buyer questions
Capacity, construction and ordering
What is your annual production capacity?
Our annual production capacity is approximately 202,500 square metres of finished handmade rugs. This is supported by a network of more than 1,400 active looms across the Bhadohi to Mirzapur carpet belt, operated by a weaver community of over 6,000 artisans, with 150,000 square feet of collaborative hub and finishing facilities operated in-house.
What types of rugs do you manufacture at volume?
We produce hand-knotted, hand-tufted, hand-woven, flatweave, handloom, jute and natural-fibre, and leather rugs at commercial production volumes, along with poufs and decorative pillows. All constructions are available in custom sizes, shapes, colours and pile heights to buyer specification.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No fixed minimum order quantity applies. We work with buyers at all volume levels, from single bespoke pieces through to full container loads and ongoing production programmes. Volumes and lead times are confirmed based on your specific product, construction and order requirements.
What are your lead times for sampling and bulk production?
Sampling typically takes 25 to 35 days depending on the construction and material. Bulk production lead times begin from approximately 60 days after sample approval, depending on order volume, complexity and material availability. We confirm production schedules with each buyer before the order is placed.
Ready to discuss your production requirement?
Send us your product specification, target volume and timeline. We will confirm what we can produce, at what lead time, and provide a sample before any production commitment is made.
