Sample questions
How long do samples take?
Samples and strike-offs take 25 to 35 days from an approved design and specification. The exact time depends on the construction, the number of colours and current studio capacity.
Do samples cost anything?
Samples are prepared on request and priced per project, because a 6 x 6 in swatch and an 18 x 18 in studio sample in hand-knotted silk are very different pieces of work. Tell us what you need and we will confirm the sample cost and lead time with the quotation.
Can I get a rug sampled in my own colours?
Yes. Send a Pantone reference, a physical swatch or a photograph and we will dye to match. Colour boxes let you compare a single design across several colourways side by side.
Do you ship samples worldwide?
Yes. Samples are couriered to your studio anywhere we export, which is currently more than 130 countries.
Can I keep the samples?
Yes. Keep them for as long as the project needs. Many designers retain them for their material library.
