Raheem and Son manufacturing floor, Bhadohi India

CEPC registration

Raheem and Son is a CEPC-registered export house. The Carpet Export Promotion Council is the apex body for Indian handmade carpet exports, and our registration reflects our standing as a verified, compliant exporter operating within India's formal carpet trade framework.

Quality and Craftsmanship

Inspected at every stage.

Our quality process begins at raw material intake, not at final inspection. Each stage of production has a defined checkpoint: fibre grading, in-loom colour and density verification, post-wash assessment, dimension measurement, and a full hand-inspection before packing. Order-specific quality requirements are confirmed with each buyer before production begins.

  • Careful raw-material selection and grading
  • Multi-stage production monitoring
  • In-process quality checks at the loom
  • Hand-finishing inspections
  • Dimension verification before packing
  • Colour-consistency checks under standardised lighting
  • Packaging inspection before dispatch
  • Order-specific quality requirements confirmed upfront

Raw material selection

Every fibre batch, wool, silk, cotton or jute, is assessed on arrival for staple length, colour consistency and contamination. Materials that do not meet specification are returned before a single thread is dyed or spun.

02

In-process production checks

Supervisors check knot density, colour placement and dimensional accuracy against the design specification at regular intervals throughout weaving. Errors are corrected at the loom, not after the piece is finished.

03

Hand-finishing inspection

After washing and shearing, pile height, surface texture, colour depth and handle are assessed against the approved sample. The wash stage is the last point at which surface colour and pile can be adjusted.

Dimension, colour and packaging verification

Finished dimensions are measured and recorded before packing. Colour is checked under standardised lighting against the approved reference. Each piece is photographed, logged and packed to protect against transit damage, confirmed against the buyer specification before dispatch.

Material Transparency and Traceability

Know what is in your rug.

We provide complete material composition declarations for every order. Natural and sustainable material options, sourcing records, fibre-composition transparency, and batch-level production tracking are all available on request.

  • Natural and sustainable material options, wool, silk, cotton, jute, bamboo silk
  • Material sourcing records retained by batch
  • Fibre-composition declarations included with each order
  • Batch-level production tracking for re-order matching
  • Full material documentation available on request for compliance programmes

Manufacturing Excellence

Nearly a century of handmade craft.

Established in 1927 and now in its fourth generation, the house has built its manufacturing depth over a working lifetime. That experience is not a story, it is a capability, visible in the quality of the knot, the accuracy of the dye and the consistency of the finish across every production run.

Buyer questions

Manufacturing, certifications and private label

Do you manufacture private label and white label rugs?

Yes. We produce for buyers who require their own label, packaging and product identity. White label manufacturing means the rug ships under your brand with no Raheem and Son identification. Private label orders can include custom tags, labels, hangtags and packaging inserts. All private label and white label orders are handled on a project basis. Contact us to discuss volumes and product requirements.

What certifications do you hold, and which can you arrange for my order?

Raheem and Son is a CEPC-registered export house. We do not currently hold in-date third-party product certifications as standing certificates. For qualifying orders and programmes, we can arrange or support GoodWeave-licensed production, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GOTS, REACH compliance, SEDEX or SMETA ethical audit, amfori BSCI, fire rating documentation (BS 4790, EN ISO 9239-1, NFPA 253), and Certificate of Origin and phytosanitary documents. CARE and FAIR membership is also available and supported. We confirm what is achievable for your specific order and market on request.

What is the minimum order quantity for export?

We do not publish fixed minimum order quantities because they vary depending on the product type, construction, material, size and customisation level. Sampling is always available before a production commitment. Contact us with your product requirements and we will confirm what applies to your project.

Can you develop a custom product from our design or specification?

Yes. We work from your drawings, CAD files, colour references or physical samples. Our team can advise on construction, material and scale options during product development. Sample production is the standard first step before any production run is confirmed.

What export documentation do you provide?

We provide Certificate of Origin, commercial invoice, packing list and phytosanitary documentation as standard. Additional compliance and material-composition declarations, substance-safety documents and certification paperwork are prepared based on your destination market and buyer requirements. We confirm the full document set for your order before production begins.

Have a programme requirement or compliance checklist?

Send us your product specification, certification requirements or procurement form. We confirm what we can provide and what we can arrange, before any production commitment.
