Editorial Standards, Verification and Corrections

Raheem & Son, a handmade rug manufacturer and exporter founded in 1927 in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, publishes the main site, the RS Contract pages and the RS LIVING shop and journal. Articles are signed by the Raheem & Son Editorial Desk. We do not use invented personas or stock author photographs; a named author or reviewer will appear only when a real person who has agreed to be named has written or checked the piece.

Every figure and factual claim comes from one of four places: our own published terms and records (for example the ordering terms on how to order), statements the owners have given us in writing, the RS LIVING catalogue for shop prices and ranges, or a primary public source that we fetched and cite with the date we checked it. Where we cannot find a fact, we write “not publicly stated” rather than estimate it.

Figures about ourselves that no third party has audited, such as our loom count, weaver network, capacity and the number of countries we export to, are labelled self-stated. Each one, with the page it comes from, is on Raheem & Son facts.

A comparison that names other companies is written by a company that competes with them, so we hold it to stricter rules. We choose one ordering criterion before building the list, state it above the list, and do not change it afterwards; Raheem & Son appears wherever the criterion places it. We use no scores, totals, weights, stars or “best” labels.

Every comparison carries the sentence “Published by Raheem & Son, which is included.” in its first screen and in its structured data. Facts about other companies come from their own public pages, or from a named press report shown as such, each with its source and date. We copy no competitor text or images. We name only credentials we hold. Raheem & Son’s only standing affiliation is registration with the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC). The Four-Star Category Certificate from the Directorate of Industries, Government of Uttar Pradesh, was awarded in 2009 and is described as historic, not current. Where a certificate or test can be arranged for a particular order, we say so with the disclaimer from our standards in the same paragraph, and we never present it as held.

Trade statistics, duty rates and regulations come only from the official source, fetched on the date we show, with a link so you can re-check it. Duty and tariff pages say “not customs advice”, because rates change and classification is your broker’s decision. When two official reports disagree we show both and say which one we used and why, as on India’s carpet exports.

We publish no fabricated reviews, ratings or testimonials, and we add no review or rating markup to our pages. Third-party map or directory ratings are not reused here. Some RS LIVING product images are digitally rendered, and RS LIVING room scenes are created digitally; the shop says so. Licensed stock photographs are credited beside the image.

Each guide and comparison shows a “Last reviewed” date: the day its sources were last re-read. When a source changes, or a link stops working, we update the page and its date; a source that no longer loads is no longer cited. Journal articles also show the date of their last substantive revision.
