About handloom rugs
A handloom rug is woven on a loom that a weaver works by hand rather than by motor. Patterns come from colour changes or from differences in pile height, which gives handloom rugs a soft, tonal texture that suits calm rooms. Our 17 handloom designs include stencil patterns and textured plains in several colourways. Each comes in nine standard sizes from 2 x 3 ft to 12 x 15 ft, or a custom size priced to your dimensions, from ₹3,630 for 2 x 3 ft. Every rug is made to order. Shipping is free to India and every other country, and import duty outside India is charged at checkout.
Questions
What is a handloom rug?
A rug woven on a loom that a weaver works by hand rather than by motor. Handloom rugs are usually quicker to make than hand-knotted rugs, and suit texture and tonal design.
How does a handloom rug compare to hand-knotted?
A handloom rug is woven on a hand-operated loom, while a hand-knotted rug has every knot tied by hand, so hand-knotted takes longer and costs more. Our handloom rugs start from ₹3,630 for 2 x 3 ft.
Do handloom rugs come in more than one colour?
Many do. Several of our handloom designs are offered in two or more colourways, shown as swatches on the product page.
Can I order a handloom rug in a custom size?
Yes. Enter your dimensions on the product page, from 2 to 15 ft per side, and the price is worked out by the square foot.
How much does a handloom rug cost?
From ₹3,630 for 2 x 3 ft, in Indian rupees, with free shipping in India and worldwide.
