About our rugs
RS Living rugs are made to order in India, in the size you choose. There are 217 designs across five constructions: hand-knotted and hand-tufted rugs in imported high-end wool, flatweaves in 100% wool, handloom rugs, and jute and natural rugs, most of them in 100% natural jute. Every design comes in nine standard sizes from 2 x 3 ft to 12 x 15 ft, and most can be made to a custom size priced to your dimensions. Prices start at ₹2,190. Shipping is free to every address in India and to every other country; rugs for the UK and EU are made to your exact size. For deliveries outside India, any import duties and taxes are paid by you to the carrier on delivery. Our high-end rugs are made in collaboration with high-end designers.
Questions
Which rug construction should I choose?
Choose hand-knotted for fine detail and the longest life, hand-tufted for bold or shaped designs at a lower price, flatweave for a thin rug that sits under doors, handloom for texture and tonal pattern, and jute for a natural, golden texture in dry rooms. Each construction page explains the differences.
What sizes do your rugs come in?
Nine standard sizes: 2 x 3, 3 x 5, 4 x 6, 5 x 8, 6 x 9, 8 x 10, 9 x 12, 10 x 14 and 12 x 15 ft. Most designs can also be made to your own dimensions, from 2 to 15 ft per side, priced to your size at checkout.
How is a custom size priced?
Choose Custom size on the rug page and enter your width and length in feet. The total price for that exact size is shown straight away, before you add it to your bag. If your dimensions match a standard size, the standard price applies.
Are the rug prices in rupees?
Yes. Every price on RS Living is in Indian rupees (INR), and the price you see for a size is the price of that rug. Shipping is free. For deliveries outside India, import duties and taxes, if any, are paid by you to the carrier on delivery.
What is the difference between a carpet and a rug?
In India the two words are often used for the same thing. Strictly, a carpet covers most of a floor and a rug covers part of it. Everything here is a rug made to order, from 2 x 3 ft up to 12 x 15 ft, or a custom size.
Who designs the high-end rugs?
Our high-end rugs are made in collaboration with high-end designers, whose names we do not disclose. They are marked on their product pages, and like every rug at RS Living they are made to order in the size you choose.
