Cushion Cover & Pillow Manufacturers & Exporters in India (Listed by Year Established)

Five Indian companies whose own websites show cushions, cushion covers or pillows, listed by the year each says it was established, each with its source page. An ordering, not a ranking, published by Raheem & Son, which is included.

How this list is ordered, and who published it

Published by Raheem & Son, which is included. We say so up front because it matters: you should weigh what follows knowing the author is one of the companies named.

The one ordering criterion used here is the year established, as each company states it on its own website, oldest first. Nothing else affects position.

This is an ordering, not a ranking, and it is not an endorsement of quality, price or service. Position in the list tells you nothing about which supplier is better for your order. We chose the criterion before building the list and we did not change it afterwards: if it had placed Raheem & Son last, we would be last. We do not use scores, stars, "best" or "top" labels anywhere in this series.

A company is included only if its own public website shows that it makes or sells cushions, cushion covers or pillows. Each entry cites the page we relied on, and anything a company does not state is shown as "not publicly stated" rather than guessed. Last verified: 18 October 2026. Pages change, so if you spot a fact that is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Cushion covers are a textile order, not a rug order

A buyer moving from rugs to cushions finds the questions change. A rug is judged on construction and pile. A cushion cover is judged on the face fabric, the back, the closure, the stitching, and, if it is sold stuffed, the insert. Two covers that look identical in a photograph can differ in zip quality, seam allowance and how the pattern aligns at the corners, which is where returns come from.

Size is the second trap. Covers are cut to a stated measurement and inserts are made to a nominal one, so a 45 cm cover fitted with a 45 cm insert looks flat and a 50 cm insert looks full. Many home-furnishing buyers deliberately specify an insert larger than the cover. Whatever your rule, write the cover size, the insert size and the fill into the purchase order so that nothing is left to interpretation at the factory.

Because covers are light and flat they are a sensible companion to a floor programme: the same colour story that sells a rug is repeated in cushions that add very little freight. Several of the companies below present cushions beside their rugs for exactly that reason.

Five companies, listed by year established

Only companies whose own pages show a cushion, cushion cover or pillow category are listed. Several Indian rug houses sell only floor coverings on their sites and are left out for that reason. Note that two companies use the heading Pillows rather than Cushions; we treat these as the same category.

Each company in a sentence, with the page behind it

Obeetee: A Mirzapur house whose own legacy page dates its start to 1920, with offices in New Delhi and New York; its site presents cushion covers and lumbar covers beside its rugs. Year source: company page; category source: category page.

Raheem & Son: A manufacturer exporter in Bhadohi that offers cushions in wool, cotton and leather, with covers supplied with or without inserts. Year source: company page; category source: category page.

Jaipur Rugs: A Rajasthan rug maker with a Home Textiles section that lists cushions; its founder's site gives 1978. Year source: company page; category source: category page.

Sharda Exports: A Meerut group, 1983 by its own account, that lists poufs and pillows together as one product category. Year source: company page; category source: category page.

PiHue Creations: A Bhadohi exporter that began in 2021; its menu spells the category Cusion Covers, which we read as cushion covers. Year source: company page; category source: category page.

Where Raheem & Son appears, and what we state about our cushions

Under this criterion Raheem & Son falls second of 5, because 1927 is where the sequence of stated founding years puts it. That is a consequence of the ordering rule, not a claim about quality.

Our cushions are individually handcrafted in wool, cotton and leather and are produced to order in any size. Covers can be supplied with or without inserts, and we work from a design brief, a reference sample, a fabric swatch or a mood board. Custom, private label and white label arrangements are available for qualifying orders, and bulk orders are handled by enquiry. See the pillows and cushions range and the pillow collection.

Raheem & Son has no fixed minimum order, quotes a sample or strike-off in 25 to 35 days, and starts bulk production from about 60 days depending on order size, construction and production load (see how to order).

On certification, CEPC registration is the only credential we currently hold. A Four-Star Category Certificate from the Directorate of Industries, Government of Uttar Pradesh was awarded in 2009; it is a historic award that lapsed in 2011, not a current certificate. We do not hold other standing third-party certificates; others are arranged against qualifying orders and we say so in writing first. See our standards.

What to ask any cushion supplier before you order

Ask for the closure type, the seam finish and the insert specification in writing, and ask whether inserts are included in the unit price or priced separately. Ask whether the fabric is hand-woven or machine-made, whether it is dyed before or after weaving, and what colour-fastness testing, if any, the supplier will document for your market. Where a supplier states a certification, ask for the certificate and check the company name on it. Our certification explainer and verification guide show how.

Then ask the commercial questions: minimum per design, minimum per colourway, sample cost, and whether samples are credited against production. For a broader view of the same companies across rug categories, read the pouf guide, the flatweave and dhurrie guide or the series overview.

Frequently asked

Which Indian companies make cushion covers and pillows?

This guide lists five whose own websites show cushions or pillows: Obeetee, Raheem & Son, Jaipur Rugs, Sharda Exports and PiHue Creations, ordered by the year each states it was established. It is an ordering, not a ranking, and many smaller workshops exist that are not listed.

Do you supply cushion covers without inserts?

Raheem & Son states that its cushion covers can be supplied with or without inserts, made to order in any size. Bulk orders are handled by enquiry and there is no fixed minimum order.

Can cushions be made under a private label?

Raheem & Son accepts custom design, private label and white label cushion programmes for qualifying orders. Other suppliers' terms are not stated here; ask each for its minimums per design and colourway.

Is this list a ranking of the best cushion makers?

No. It is ordered only by the year each company states it was established, and Raheem & Son, which published it, is included. Position says nothing about quality or price.
