Handloom rugs combine the speed of power-assisted weaving with a hand-finished pile, making them an efficient choice for buyers who need volume without sacrificing the tactile quality of a knotted surface. Raheem and Son produces handloom rugs in wool and blended fibres from our Bhadohi factory, available for export to global wholesale buyers and interior trade accounts.

Common questions
What is a handloom rug?
A handloom rug uses a power-assisted loom to form the pile, which is then hand-finished, trimmed and inspected. The result is a knotted pile construction at a more accessible production rate than fully hand-knotted work, making it well-suited for contract and volume orders.
Are handloom rugs durable enough for commercial use?
Yes. The knotted pile construction provides good durability and recovery underfoot. For heavy-traffic commercial environments we recommend specifying a denser pile weight and a quality wool or wool-blend yarn, both of which we can advise on during the sampling stage.
What order quantities are available for handloom rugs?
We work with wholesale buyers, interior designers and export clients across a range of quantities. Contact us with your size, design and required volume and our sales team will advise on lead times and pricing.
